DOR

Directed by Nagesh Kukunoor, DOR is an emotional story about relationships, redemption, and the power of human connection, set against the rustic landscapes of Rajasthan.

Objective

To create publicity designs that evoke the film’s emotional depth while visually capturing the cultural richness of its Rajasthani backdrop.

Design Approach

  • Color Palette: Warm, earthy tones like ochre, terracotta, and teal to reflect the arid, soulful setting.
  • Imagery:
    • Handcrafted textures and traditional motifs for authenticity.
    • The two female protagonists in moments of vulnerability and strength.
  • Typography: A handwritten, raw font style, conveying intimacy and personal connection.
  • Poster Design:
    • A central composition featuring the two women, set against expansive desert landscapes, symbolizing isolation and eventual unity.
    • Use of natural light effects to add warmth and realism.
